People on the Right! (56:9) And the People on the Left: 6 and how miserable will be 4 (56:8) The People on the Right: 5 and how fortunate will be the (56:7) You shall then become three groups. – (56:3) (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 2 (56:4) when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 3 (56:5) and the mountains will crumble (56:6) and will scatter abroad into fine dust. (56:1) When the Event will come to pass (56:2) – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 1 (V.56:75) In Arabic Mawâqi‘i An-Nujûm: This word has many interpretations: it may mean the setting or the rising or the mansions of the stars, or the Qur’ân and its gradual revelation in stages.
And verily that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.ħ5. We have made it a Reminder ( of the Hell- fire in the Hereafter ), and an article of use for the travellers ( and all the others, in this world ). Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower?ħ3.
Then tell Me about the fire which you kindle.ħ2. If We willed, We verily could make it salt ( and undrinkable ) : why then do you not give thanks ( to Allâh ) ?ħ1. Is it you who cause it from the rain- clouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down?ħ0. Then tell Me about the water that you drink.Ħ9. ruined or have lost the money without any profit, or are punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation ) ! ( Tafsir Al- Qurtubî ) »Ħ8. ( Saying ) : « We are indeed Mughramûn ( i.e. Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful ( or left in wonderment ). Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower?Ħ5. Then tell Me about the seed that you sow in the ground.Ħ4. the creation of Adam ) : why then do you not remember ( or take heed ) ?Ħ3. And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation ( i.e. To transfigure you and create you in ( forms ) that you know not.Ħ2. We have decreed death to you all, and We are not outstripped,Ħ1. make this semen into a perfect human being ), or are We the Creator?Ħ0.
Then tell Me ( about ) the ( human ) semen that you emit.ĥ9. We created you: then why do you believe not?ĥ8. That will be their entertainment on the Day of Recompense!ĥ7. « And you will drink ( that ) like thirsty camels! »ĥ6.
« And drink boiling water on top of it.»ĥ5. « Then you will fill your bellies therewith,»ĥ4. « You verily will eat of the trees of Zaqqûm.»ĥ3. « Then moreover, verily you the erring- ones, the deniers ( of Resurrection ) !»ĥ2.
